These terms apply to the use of the VideoDate service (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. Service provider

2. Description of the Service

VideoDate is an AI-assisted platform that helps users find and meet suitable people in short, pre-agreed video calls. The Service acts as an intermediary platform and does not guarantee the success or safety of dates, nor the accuracy of information provided by users.

3. User account and age limit

The Service is intended for adults. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and that you are at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the use of your account and for protecting your password.

4. Rules and prohibited use

  • You must not harass, threaten or insult other users.
  • You must not share illegal, inappropriate or copyrighted material belonging to others.
  • You must not use the Service for commercial purposes without permission.
  • You must not attempt to bypass technical protections or harvest other users' data.

You must not aid, abet, encourage or facilitate the abuse or exploitation of any person, whether online or offline. This prohibition applies even where you do not directly commit the underlying abuse or exploitation.

4a. Acceptable Use Policy (zero tolerance)

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on the Service and results in immediate, permanent account termination and, where required, reporting to law enforcement:

  • Human trafficking and sex trafficking, including any facilitation, promotion or advertising of such activity.
  • Any illegal acts, including commercial sexual services, drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud and violent crime.
  • Impersonation of another person, organisation or public authority, or use of false, stolen or misleading identity information.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), sexualisation of minors, and any attempt to contact, groom or involve a minor in the Service.

We operate a zero-tolerance policy. Users may report violations via the contact form. Reported content and accounts are reviewed and removed, and CSAM as well as trafficking is reported to the competent authorities.

5. Limitation of liability

Each user is solely responsible for their own use of the Service and for any damage arising from it. The service provider is not liable for interactions between users, for events occurring during dates, for misunderstandings, for financial losses, or for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

The Service is provided as is, without commitments regarding functionality, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Service is always error-free, uninterrupted or secure.

6. Video calls and safety

Video dates are based on direct connections between users. Each user is responsible for their own safety, equipment and network connection. We recommend meeting only people with whom both parties have confirmed the date through double opt-in.

7. Payments and credits

The Service may include credit- and subscription-based features. Unless otherwise stated, prices and credits in this version are for demonstration purposes. Separate payment terms apply to real payments.

8. Changes to the terms

The service provider may update these terms. By continuing to use the Service after changes you accept the updated terms. We recommend reviewing the terms regularly.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland.

Disputes shall primarily be settled through negotiation. If no resolution is reached, the dispute shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce.

  • The arbitral tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator.
  • The seat of arbitration is Helsinki, Finland.
  • The language of the arbitration is English.
